Frequently Asked Questions

About Membership

How does the membership model work?

In exchange for paying monthly dues, small business owners receive member benefits including direct hands-on help in a variety of functional areas (e.g. bookkeeping, marketing, etc.).  Members also receive a significant discount on services needed beyond what their membership level provides. The membership model encourages owners to strengthen their whole business model, not just select functional areas.

How do I get started?

Contact us through the “contact us” page, or call us at 603-387-5824, or email newgrowthpartnersnh@gmail.com.  Once we hear from you, we’ll reach out to schedule a meeting.  That’s how easy it is.

What is an intake interview?

Lasting about two hours, the intake interview is a structured meeting that explores your business priorities, challenges, and opportunities. The discussion seeks understanding your business well enough so that 1) we can determine fit, 2) build a support strategy, and 3) begin tackling immediate priorities.

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. Memberships go month to month. You may cancel your membership at anytime.  Once we receive the cancellation in writing (via email or USPS), we will not bill you for any further member dues. Upon cancellation, your membership will expire on the last day of the month in which we receive the written notice of cancellation.  All information, including access codes, will be turned over to the business owner.

Can I upgrade my membership?

Yes, you may upgrade your membership at the beginning of a member’s month simply by letting us know and paying dues at the upgraded member level.

Can any business become a member?

No. NGP won’t be a good fit for every business.  There are a number of reasons why: your size, timing, budget, talent, or industry.  We’re focused on helping small town entrepreneurs elevate their game: painters, cobblers, carpenters, retailers, landscapers, property managers, barbers, restaurateurs, plumbers, stylists, mechanics, therapists, and countless other professions.

About Services

What is a performance audit?

It’s an objective and confidential report on the state of your business.  When invited, we’ll take a look at your financials, operations, brand, and talent and provide a candid review of what we see: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

How much will it cost?

Member levels vary in cost depending on the services provided.  Entry level membership costs as little as $175/month.  If members need additional support beyond their member benefits, discounted hourly rates are available.  NGP will provide a written estimate for owners to review before additional work begins. A detailed list of discounted hourly rates will be made available to business owners during the intake interview.

What happens if I need more hours beyond what my membership provides?

That’s easy! We’ll be upfront about how much effort is likely to be necessary for your business.  We may discover that your bookkeeping, for example, may take two hours more than your member benefit covers.  We’ll let you know in advance, so that you can plan accordingly and we can allocate resources as necessary.

Will I work with an assigned person?

Yes, in all cases members will have a dedicated professional assigned to your business.  This individual, called your NGP partner, will coordinate other NGP talent during the life of your membership.

How will I establish a schedule of activities?

Your assigned “partner” will gather information and prepare a plan for your review.  You may change any aspect of this plan, at any time, to accommodate your unique needs.  We will be as flexible as we can to fit your needs.

Can non-members receive support services?

Yes, non-members may request services at the non-member hourly rates on an “as available” basis.  Members always get priority treatment.

How do I know that NGP will keep my records confidential?

Among the first actions we take during the intake interview is sign a confidentiality agreement. All data pertaining to the member business is secured in the cloud for easy access and recovery.

How many members are there?

New Growth Partners takes the confidentiality of each of its members seriously.  As such, we do not disclose our member roster, nor do we share any information about owners or their businesses, including contact info.

How can I pay for services?

NGP accepts cash, checks, ACH deposits, and all major credit cards.  If interested, members may request monthly billing.  Dues are paid at the beginning of each billing period.

What are “discounted hourly rates”?

These are the rates that members pay for services received after they have exhausted their monthly benefits.  For example, a Gold Member who receives 8 hours of bookkeeping in one month will be charged the discounted hourly rate $ for 3 hours, (8 hours total time - 5 hours that come as a Gold member = 3 hours that must be paid for at the discounted rate.) Rates differ based on the area of expertise and market demand.  Rates are subject to change without notice.
